ABOUT

I was born and raised in Groningen, a city in the northern part of the Netherlands.

After high school, I studied chemistry at the University of Groningen and received a PhD. I worked my entire professional life as a research chemist at the university and various companies! My spare time, I devoted to a variety of hobbies, including reading literature and photography.

After retiring in march of 2025, I plan to devote more time to photography. I am a member of photo club AFV Daguerre and the Dutch Fotobond.

I have been active in several fields of interest of photography, like landscape photography, portrait and model photography and street photography. I plan to work more on a project basis in the future, since having more time being retired now.
