Recently, I saw a documentary on Dutch television about the life of the American painter Georgia O’Keeffe. The artist spent large part of her career living and working in New Mexico, around Alcalde and Abiquiu. I found the work as shown in the documentary impressive and especially the paintings of New Mexico landscapes fascinated me a lot. I had been in New Mexico two times during holidays and I felt very good there. So, I ordered the book Georgia O’Keeffe and New Mexico: A Sense of Place. In the book is a painting of Taos Pueblo and this painting was also shown in the documentary. The painting reminded me of my visit to the place in 2015. Two of my photos of Taos Pueblo are shown in the gallery above, next to an image of the painting of Georgia O’Keeffe.
